Why a Pacific Pilothouse?

Boaters and fishermen have been trying to escape the cold wind, ocean spray, and harmful UV rays for years. Traditionally they have used canvas T-tops and eising glass enclosures as a way of protecting themselves and their equipment from the elements. But T-tops and flimsy eising enclosures can make your boat unstable. And while they may be an inexpensive solution in the short-term, in the long run they'll cost you more.

T-tops and eising glass enclosures can add a lot of weight above the waterline. They also lack aerodynamic design that'll slow you down, decrease fuel economy and can make your boat unstable in relatively low wind. There's also the hassle of setup and take down – every time you trailer the boat. Wear and tear on the eising glass can take a toll on your boating experience. Looking through scratched plastic can cause eye fatigue and may impair your ability to spot potential hazards. Canvas T-tops are also very noisy, making it hard to monitor your radio or conduct a conversation. All said and done, T-tops and eising glass end up more expensive because you have to replace them more often.
