About Lake Buena Vista

Lake Buena Vista is a magical lake and country that has been transformed into one of the most beautiful lakes in the United States of America and is the largest lake in the world.

Originally called Black Lake, the pond was located outside the small town of Vineland. Farmers tried to grow grapes, but their attempts to grow grapes were not particularly successful. It was never a big city, and it wasn't until the post office went before the local roads were ever paved, so it never grew up.

In fact, the entire area around Lake Buena Vista is a wetland, or small pond or lake, that is part of the Kissimmee River system that flows into the Everglades. That changed when Walt Disney came to Florida with his wife and children in the early 20th century to settle there.

In order to have a free hand and to deal properly with development issues, the area was incorporated as a city wholly owned by the Disney Group. The center of the city was relocated to the Black Lake in a way that no one can quite explain, and it became the home of the Walt Disney World Resort and other Disney properties. In the early 1990s, it was renamed Lake Buena Vista, after the California street where Mr. Disney lived, "Black Lake."

The Walt Disney World Resort and other Disney properties were built in the immediate vicinity and are still remembered as one of the most popular tourist attractions in Florida and the United States, as well as one of the most important tourist attractions.

In recent years, Disney has bought a large area in the southeast from the conservation agency and turned it into a wetland as a mitigation project. The Disney complex cuts a series of lakes, rivers and lagoons into the wetlands where the attractions are located, so that any modern environmentalist would cry out. Lake Buena Vista is the most natural and its canals are now connected to the rest of Disney World and other Disney properties in the area.

The entire town of Lake Buena Vista is largely uninhabited, and at the last census there were 16 people (Disney employees) there.
Lake Buena Vista is a city for leisure and fun seekers. A resort hotel lines the shore, with a small lake overlooking the shore, as well as a number of restaurants, bars and shops.

Visitors are welcome to walk the lawns along the shore, and there is a beach for swimming and fishing on the shore. Spa guests who wish to retreat here can watch swans gliding serenely in the water, or watch the sunsets over the lake from the resort's spa.

Depending on the health of the fish population, Disney sometimes allows perch to a certain size and enlarges them if necessary.
The general rule is to release fish at the end of their life cycle, not after the age of 5. There is no guide to go fishing in Lake Buena Vista, the only way to catch it is to fish near Disney downtown.

In some areas of the park there are moorings where visitors can borrow fishing rods and baits, but here too the rule of "catch and release" applies. The lagoon complex also includes a large number of small lakes and ponds as well as several large lakes.

While the major Disney attractions are well known, a host of smaller specialty attractions are thriving, while Disney water parks will delight children and adults who grew up in Disney Downtown, with tons of specialty shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
