About Treasure Lake

The Pennsylvania Wilds region is not the place where you would expect to find a lake called Treasure Lake. Bimini Lake and Trinidad Beach would do that, but here in DuBois, Clearfield County, there is a small lake with a population of about 1,000 people.

Treasure Lakes is actually a private community of over 1500 houses on over 8,000 hectares. For over 60 years, Treasure Lakes has been inviting new arrivals to enjoy the natural beauty of this small lake and its beautiful surroundings.

Treasure Lake was developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s as part of a planned maritime community. When the land was sold, the lake was a small farmer's pond, but it was created by draining water from the existing Wolf Creek by digging a lake bed.

The man-made lake was called Bimini Lake and the Treasure Lake was a sports lake, but soon the Treasure Lake was open for trade. The lake was filled with perch and trout, and soon the former Renee Lake had to be renamed Treasure Lake, and it was filled in.

Water skiing and rubber dinghies are allowed in Treasure Lake, and motorboats and jet skis are allowed as long as they meet the speed limit of 35 miles per hour.

The 200-metre marina is maintained as a place where residents can rent boats, kayaks, canoes and other small boats for leisure. For those who prefer to maintain their boats responsibly, the marinas also rent out smaller boats (canoes and kayaks) for use on the lake.

Near the 277 hectare lake of Bimini, the engine (9 HP) of the lake has been designated as the preferred fishing and paddling spot and has a bee with excellent fishing and paddling spots. The inhabitants of the Treasure Lake maintain a large number of small boats, kayaks, canoes and other smaller boats for recreation.

Treasure Lake and Bimini Lake offer excellent fishing opportunities, especially in the early morning and late evening hours of the day and night. Add your photos to Treasure Lake, Pennsylvania on our Facebook page for more photos and information about this beautiful lake.

The original perches are still there, but the trout have been replaced by fish species that are better adapted to the water. Fishing is a great opportunity for the inhabitants of the area to get to know their treasure lake and come to this lake for guest fishing. The public is only invited to special fishing tournaments and activities that are open to non-residents.

Ice fishing is also very popular on the lake, but the only trout found have been banished, and the restrictive order ensures that the houses meet certain standards. Life at Treasure Lake is designed to provide the most amenities in a natural setting of the Country Club.

Wildlife is abundant, though residents have been warned to protect rubbish from bears, and there is never a shortage of outdoor activities. A variety of activities, including golf, swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing and hiking, ensure that outdoor activities are never lacking.

The community offers fitness areas, salons and arcades, and two restaurants and lodges offer activities and space for special interest groups. Both feature a well-known national act as well as a variety of local restaurants, bars and cafes.

s activities are regularly planned, including summer camps, and a space in the Treasure Lake community is dedicated to the quaking places where services such as medical care and school are needed. Just over 100 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, Treasure Lake is the perfect place for a weekend getaway.

With so many people wanting to come for the holidays, two holiday complexes have been built, where residents are given part-time and part-time apartments. Casual visitors can experience Treasure Lake's unique recreational opportunities.

The 3,038 hectare site has more than 1,000 hectares of hiking, camping, fishing and hiking trails. A shooting range is also available, as well as a golf course, tennis court, indoor pool and volleyball court.

S.B. Elliott State Park is located in the heart of the Moshannon State Forest, 15 km east of Pennsylvania, and is an ideal base for snowmobiling in the Pennsylvania wilderness. More than 70 km of hiking trails lead to a winter paradise, and in warmer weather the park offers many kilometers of hiking trails.

In the west, Cook's Forest State Park is known for its white-growing pine hemlock, and in the north, it is home to a variety of wild flowers, including black-eyed peas, blueberries, peaches, cherries, pears, apricots, apples and pecans. In early February, we stopped by and made the 30-mile trip to Gobbler's Knob to see if Punxsutawney Phil had really seen his shadow. We were in the heart of the Moshannon State Forest, 15 miles east of Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh.

Civilization is not far from the Treasure Lake, and civilization is rich: the Reitz Theater in downtown DuBois offers various performances of local talent and offers children's workshops and productions throughout the summer. In summer it offers a variety of outdoor activities such as canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, camping and hiking.

In autumn, the foliage is spectacular and the beautiful landscape is surrounded by the wooded Allegheny Mountains with a variety of trees and shrubs and a large number of lakes.

In addition to townhouses and condominiums, private rentals are also offered on weekends and during the week.
