About Lake Cushman

Lake Cushman is located at the foot of the majestic Olympic Mountains and is known for its scenic views of Lake Washington and the Olympic National Forest. With a coastline of 23 miles, visitors to the 4,000-acre lake can enjoy all kinds of recreational activities, including fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, swimming and much more. Located in Olympian National Park, a national park in Washington, USA, the hotel is surrounded by OlympicNational Forest and a campsite nearby.

Lake Cushman is located at the foot of the majestic Olympic Mountains and is known for its scenic views of Lake Washington and the Olympic National Forest. Originally it was a glacial trough formed by the long, narrow widening of the Skokomish, long before it was dammed by a terminal moraine from the last ice age.

The lake is famous as a fishing and hunting paradise, which is difficult to reach due to its remote location in the Olympic National Forest. Hotel Antlers was built on the original lake, which attracted visitors to the area to enjoy the incredible beauty of nature.

In 1925, the City of Light of Tacoma built a bridge over the North Fork of Cushman Creek, a creek in the Olympic National Forest, and flooded all existing structures, including the hotel. Water from the North Fork flows back into the Creek Channel and flows into Lake Cushingman, which has since expanded into a large lake with a depth of about 1,500 meters. The lake "Cush Man" is named after Orrington CUSHman, who served as an interpreter for Governor Isaac Stevens during the Puget Sound negotiations in 1854.

A dam was built at the North Fork of Cushman Creek to form a dam at Lake Cushingman, the largest lake in the Puget Sound region of Washington State.

Today, the two dams work together to power Tacoma Power's power grid and are united in a historic agreement stemming from a hydroelectric project owned by Tacoma Power. The agreement includes the construction of the Cushman Dam and Lake Cushingman, as well as the installation of a hydroelectric power plant at the dam.

The north coast has huge boulders and large trees and is bordered by popular fishing villages. Fishing enthusiasts are drawn to Lake Cushingman because of its proximity to Puget Sound, the largest body of water in the United States.

Lake Cushman is open year-round and offers a variety of fishing experiences, from fishing for relaxation to fun sports. Lake Cushingman offers easy access to the lake for a fee and is one of the most popular fishing destinations in the Puget Sound region of Washington. Camp CUSHman has a campsite, picnic area and fishing village, as well as a boat ramp and boat parking.

The deep water also attracts divers to explore the sunken forest and the remains of Hotel Antlers, as well as deep sea diving and deep water diving.

The nearby Olympic National Forest offers many recreational opportunities, and wildlife is common in the area, where visitors can observe a variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds of prey and other wildlife. It is designated as a wilderness and is part of the National Wilderness Preservation System and can be enjoyed all year round. The path is long, short and long, with half on the lower levels and the other half on the higher levels.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is only 43 miles away, so it's easy to get there if you're looking remote. The shores of Lake Cushman are bordered by Puget Sound and the Olympic National Forest, though it is also dotted with rental cabins. Visitors who want to build or buy a house in the area will find many options, including family homes, vacation homes and timeshares, as well as a wide range of commercial and residential properties. It is one of the fastest growing communities in Washington state with a population of about 2,000 people.
