Palmyth Ice Fishing Gloves

Kiwi Camp Dry Heavy Duty Water RepellentThis glove has a convertible mitten which easily converts from warm mittens to fingerless gloves with magnets. Thus freeing your fingers for fishing, knot tying and other activities you need to do.

The gloves are insulated with 40 grams 3M thinsulate, orange microfiber fleece and 4-Way stretch shell to keep you warm.

It is made of Partial synthetic leather and premium Anti-Slip silicone enhance grip to keep it from daily wear and tear.

Ergonomic leather in palm for better grip on the fishing rods, cameras or phones, and also protect your hands from blisters, calluses and insect bites.

It has night-mode Reflective strips across the back of each of these mitten so wearers can see at night.

The gloves are labeled as men's size, women should choose a smaller size.

Pros

  • Keeps your hands warm all the time
  • Lightweight, but really sturdy
  • Windproof
  • It has night-mode reflector so you can still use it at night
  • The material is soft and flexible with its convertible mittens

Cons

  • The only disadvantage of this product is that it has no available sizes for women. So if the opposite sex will buy one of these gloves, she needs to choose from the sizes intended for men.
  • Also, not waterproof.

Our Take

I can say that these gloves are pretty warm (down into the 15°F) to use and nicely windproof. Although there's no Velcro, the thumb tips lock open with magnets.
The mitten can be easily opened and can be folded back into a pocket above the hand. Best of all, the material is soft and flexible enough to easily allow you to just poke your index finger out, or even to press the camera shutter button with the mitten up.

The convertible mitten allows you to still use your phone, keys, coat zippers, or even tie your laces so easy.

I like the internal pocket because it holds your hand warmer, no velcro to scratch your face while wiping your nose, not too bulky, and very durable.

Pros

  • The gloves' wrist is elastic
  • Breathable fabric that is sweat absorbing
  • It has slip-resistance feature
  • Lightweight and very comfortable to use

Cons

  • The problem when using this glove is that it is too thin. You have to be careful when dealing with sharp-finned fishes because it may cut through your palms and hands.

Our Take

These gloves are thin, breathable and you don't even realize you're wearing them. Something that is nice on hot days. Also, the palm has some kind of gel on it to give it grip to prevent things from slipping off your hands.

The fit is too good, and they provide you the fingerless freedom you need so you can do things freely while using the gloves.

Pros

  • Very comfortable to use
  • Lightweight
  • Can be used for other outdoor activities aside from fishing
  • They offer good protection in dry conditions
  • Budget-friendly

Cons

  • When fishing with the thumb and finger tips off, they also get in the way of the reel and make reeling awkward.
  • Not water resistant and not efficient in cold weather.

Our Take

I like these gloves because they are made with lighter materials so they are very easy and comfortable to use. It has elastic fabric which is easy to put on or take off.
Aside from that, they do provide decent protection in milder conditions where it basically hugged the skin of the hand not too tightly. With its removable finger and thumb feature, you can still search things on your tackle box or use your phone or cameras.

Although these are not for extreme cold (ice fishing), they can be good for late Fall or early Spring weather.

For the price I am very satisfied as well, since it is reasonable and not too expensive.

Sharkskin Textured

Pros

  • 100 % waterproof
  • Sharkskin Textured
  • Seamless Palm Design
  • Durable and fexible
  • Keep your hands dry and warm

Cons

  • That being said, I could see them wearing out faster than coated gloves. Especially when gripping sharp fins and scale, or shrimp

Our Take

The gloves start out warm and water proof. They grip fish and line and things well and you can tie most knots still while wearing them.
bought these to take photos when it's cold. They keep my hands warm and I'm able to press all of the buttons and turn all of the dials on my DSLR camera with the gloves on

Gloves have excellent neoprene grip (probably great for removing stuck jar lids). Worked nicely (tactile) and kept fingers warm while using DLSR camera controls in super cold 10 degree conditions while taking wintertime family photos. Hope they last a long time...time will tell.
